NEWS: Royals suck - AL Central does not
Remember “Major League” - the movie about a bunch of no-name ballplayers thrown together by an owner who hated the team, but they somehow found the strength and determination to win the Pennant? Man, that was a funny movie. Although, in my opinion they spent way to much time on the romance between Tom Berenger and Renee Russo. It just wasn’t that integral to the plot.
…anyway, the Kansas City Royals suck.

The Kansas City Royals wound down their season in fitting style: By watching the Detroit Tigers and then the Minnesota Twins celebrate clinching post-season berths by beating them. In consecutive games. On consecutive nights.
Minnesota took the AL Central, while the Detroit Tigers settled for the Wildcard.
The Chicago White Sox finished off a disappointing season but have a legitimate MVP candidate in Jermaine Dye, and the front-runner for comeback player of the year in Jim Thome.
The Cleveland Indians went 32-25 from August 1 to the end of the season - going 8-2 over their last 10 games.
All four teams have to be considered possible contenders in the AL Central next year.
The Royals, meanwhile, have already been mathematically eliminated for 2007. On the plus side, rumors persist that the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team will be moved there and give the city a hockey team that sucks too…
The Royals suck by the way.
