Latrell Sprewell

Latrell Sprewell apparently wasn’t kidding when he said “I’ve got my family to feed”, while turning down a 3 year $21 million contract from the Timberwolves.*

Sprewell has sold his yacht to pay back some of the $1.3 million he owes on it, and is facing foreclosure on the $405,000 house he bought in 1994. In filing for foreclosure on Sprewell’s house in Milwaukee county Citizens Bank has claimed that there is still $295,000 in outstanding payments owing.

Which brings up the obvious, important question - what the fuck is an NBA player doing living in a $400,000 house in Milwaukee? I have friends whose houses are worth more than that. Seriously - I feel like MTV’s Cribs has lied to me…

* In his defense, that is less than half what he was currently being paid per season.
