The Indiana Pacers new image makeover plan:
Step 1 - Stop beating up fans of other teams.
Step 2 - Introduce new ad campaign and snappy slogan

…oh yeah, and ask the players to try to avoid getting arrested in incidents that involve them publicly kicking handicapped people.

So… yeah… that stuff he told police about getting punched in the face? Okay, that wasn’t true.  And the guy who hit him with his car?  Jackson kicked him first. Oh yeah, and the guy has a deformed arm.

Stephen Jackson is now facing a felony charge of criminal recklessness and two misdemeanors for the events at the strip club.  Turns out that firing a gun in the air in a crowded parking lot is against the law in Indiana.

“Those bullets, once they come up, have to come down, and they come down at least 90 miles per hour, and they do absolutely have the ability to take someone’s life.” said Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi.

“I am a Pacer fan, and it brings me no joy to file charges, not only for the Pacer organization, but for the city,” Brizzi added, in a thinly veiled attempt to avoid having his car keyed by Pacers fans.

A word of advice to Jackson:  I think most people can agree that it’s okay to go up in the stands and smack around Piston fans, but kicking handicapped people never plays well in the press; they always find a way to put a negative spin on it.
