It’s sort of like the scene in the movie “Invincible” where Vince Papale plays pick-up games of football with his friends, except after the game, instead of winning a spot with the Philladelphia Eagles imagine that he drives his car onto the field and tries to run over the other team.

Former NFL running back Lawrence Phillips was convicted of assault, and just generally being a complete moron, on October 10th, stemming from charges that he drove his pickup truck onto a field after a game of football, and tried to run over a bunch of the players.

Phillips played 25 games for the St. Louis Rams, but they released him during the 1997 season because… well, because he was a jackass.  Later that same season, Phillips signed with the Miami Dolphins, and was released by the team after beating up a woman in a nightclub.
