If Al Davis says he has a letter for you…
Lane Kiffin, coach of the AFC West juggernaut Oakland Raiders is apparently being asked to resign. More specifically, Raiders president Al Davis has drafted a resignation letter for Kiffin.
The letter reads:
“I, Bill Callahan Norv Turner Art Shell Lane Kiffin, do hereby resign as coach of the Oakland Raiders football team because I am solely to blame for the Oakland Raiders inability to compete in the AFC. It is entirely my fault, and the Raiders’ lack of success should be blamed entirely on me and not in any way on interference and meddling by totally blameless president, managing partner and great all-around guy Al Davis. This includes the previous years when I wasn’t coach of the team.”
Davis was unavailable to comment on whether he is a mercurial douche bag because he was busy interviewing Dennis Green as a replacement for Kiffin, and reviewing plans to move the Raiders football club to Los Angeles again.
For his part, Kiffin has said “I’m not going to comment on anything that has transpired in the past three weeks,” , adding “Actually, I coach the Oakland Raiders so I’d like to go ahead and extend that to not commenting on the 20 weeks or so before that too.”
