With the shocking 17-14 loss to the New York Giants, sports fans in the New England region have had to scale back their smugness by at least 5.2%

Said one Boston resident “The Patriots have won 3 Superbowls, and the Red Sox have won 2 World Series - just in the last five years. That’s pretty amazing. Then you look at the Celtics, and they’re far and away the best team in the East this year. And we also have a hockey team.”

“A perfect 19-0 season would have warranted at least a 60% increase in smugness for the average fan” another fan added “but the Superbowl loss I’d say means we’re going to have to scale it back.”
