Montreal Canadiens listen to their fans - begin reviewing options to trade Ryder, Begin, Smolinski, Dandenault and Brisebois for stay-at-home, defensive-minded goalposts.
The Montreal Canadiens are listening to their fans, and plan on addressing areas of weakness both before the trade deadline and in this year’s draft.
“We keep a close eye on the various sports blogs and discussion forums on the internet” said Canadiens GM Bob Gainey, “they’re a source of a lot of insight into where we need to go as an organisation.”
Gainey went on to say “Particularly after the game against Ottawa, the fans analysis of the game showed us that our biggest weakness as an organisation is in the area of goalposts and crossbars. Other teams have done a much better job of drafting solid, game-changing goalposts to keep the puck out of the net.”
After the Canadiens recent 6-1 loss to Ottawa Habsfan1979 observed “Te HABS WHERE ROBBED!! FIVE OR SIX GOAL POSTS AND A CROSS BAR!!!1 AT LEST! NO PUCK LUCK AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”, while Habsfan-Leafshater offered “Habs hit four posts tonight, if they had gone in it would have been a totally different game”
“These are important insights.” Gainey concluded “Having a set of goalposts and a crossbar playing for your team clearly makes a huge difference - it takes a lot of the pressure off the goalie and the defense, and we need to address this.”

Okay - now THAT’s funny.
nightfire
hahahah… what kind of drafting picks would they have?
The Teacher
Habs inside/out site says there is a homosexual component to this team, possibly as many as three. Montreal needs to draft better, sign decent free agents and get rid of loser Gainey.
